I am Jen Daley, the founder and director of Wild Fig Reading Studio. As a dual-licensed Reading Specialist and Early Childhood Educator holding Master’s degrees in both fields, I am driven by a commitment to the Science of Reading. I am currently actively compiling my advanced clinical hours toward formal Orton Gillingham certification.
My practice bridges the gap between complex science and clinical intervention. Our evidence-based framework is built upon Structured Literacy Dyslexia Remediation. I utilize a highly customized, multisensory, diagnostic, and prescriptive approach that targets the neurological roots of reading struggles, making abstract language concrete and accessible. I specialize exclusively in intensive, one -on-one assessments and interventions based on the Orton Gillingham methodology. I believe it is important that you have direct and continuous access to the literacy expert, who combines assessment and diagnostic support, intervention expertise and compassionate family guidance, and who designs and executes the program personally for your child.
Beyond Intervention: Consultation Services
At Wild Fig Reading Studio, we don’t just work with your child, we partner with your entire family. Navigating the school system can be incredibly difficult, which is why I offer specialized Educational Consultation Services.
As a parent, with decades of experience as a public school and private school educator, and reading specialist, I know very well, both personally and professionally the complicated climate we face.
If your child already has a school-based IEP or 504 plan, or if you suspect they need one, I am here to help. I will translate complex school data into clear answers, review existing educational plans, provide actionable home-based strategies, and serve as your expert ally to help ensure your child has the accommodations they need to succeed.
